(WIAT) — According to a release from the Southeastern Conference, $289.4 million will be distributed among the 14 SEC schools.
The distribution is a part of the revenue sharing plan established for the 2012-2013 fiscal year, which is set to end August 31, 2013.
Each school will receive an average of $20.7 as a part of the plan, which includes money generated from bowls, television contracts, the SEC Football Championship, the SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament and the NCAA Championships.
Teams that participated in bowls retained $14.1 million, money that was not included in the $289.4 million figure.
Additionally, local media package revenue were not included in the total figures.
