ALABASTER, Ala. (WIAT) – Country Star Josh Turner is the headline for Alabaster CityFest but it’s the towns homegrown talent that really had toes tapping.
Cityfest is a homecoming for the band, Atticus Enue.
“It’s a little bit different when you know these people intimately, you know people you grow up with and all that, as opposed to the random people that come see us when we play at a bar or a different venue.”
Drummer Brad Kuehner says, “I feel kind of a nervous excitement right now. I’m excited about playing in front of a bunch of people and just getting out there and wailing.”
But guitarist Stephen Wade says that nervousness is toned down by heavy, preparations.
“We’re so rigorous at what we try to do. We donate time, like ok we need to work on a song tonight. You know, I think the fact that we’re so diverse in the things that we listen to helps us create music that’s different.”
