TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — It has been noted that about 1,000 World War II veterans pass away every day.
On Wednesday, Tuscaloosa’s military family is saying goodbye to a very special comrade in arms, James Henderson.
Henderson was a World War II POW, one of the last POW’s of his generation still in this area.
CBS 42 had the honor of meeting and interviewing Mr. Henderson last year on POW/MIA Day.
Veterans also plan to be at his funeral to give this special man a touching, final salute.
CBS 42 will have more on this story on CBS 42 News at 6.
