(WIAT) — People around Shelby County may have heard a rumble or two on Wednesday, but one particular set of noises had nothing to do with the weather.
Thousands of hot rods pulled into the Hoover Met as a part of the Hot Rod Power Tour, hosted by Hot Rod Magazine.
Classic car enthusiasts started their day in Memphis, Tennessee on Wednesday morning.
The drivers hit seven cities in seven consecutive days.
“If it looks fast and it goes fast it’s gonna be out here,” Hot Rod Magazine publisher Jeff Dahlin said on Wednesday. “Hot rods, street rods, drag cars, classic muscle cars, modern muscle cars and a few oddball cars, too.”
The event is scheduled to be held until 7 p.m. at the Hoover Met.
