Police say 28-year old Elijah Morton did nothing to prevent the 4-year old from getting into the pool and drowning. According to investigators, it happened when Morton and his girlfriend took nine children to an apartment complex pool. Some of the children were theirs. Others — including the victim — belonged to relatives. Morton allegedly made no attempt to revive the child, who was found at the bottom of the pool. He’s charged with aggravated child neglect.
