(WIAT) — A new weight loss drug is expected to hit the market on Tuesday.
The drug, called Belviq, was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2012.
The company delayed the launch because of logistical issues.
It functions by tricking the brain into thinking the stomach is full, causing users to eat less food and eventually lose weight.
