BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — UPDATE: Per Randy Christian:
Fuller has surrendered through his attorney and is in custody being questioned by Sheriff’s detectives and will subsequently be booked into the Jefferson County Jail on a Capital Murder charge with no bond in relation to the shooting death of Romaine Witherspoon.
ORIGINAL: On June 6th, Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a person who had been shot in the 400 block of Hillside Avenue in the Muscoda community, which is located near Bessemer.
The victim was Romaine Witherspoon who was found lying in the road near the home.
Witherspoon was transported to UAB Hospital where he later died.
Throughout the course of their investigation, police learned that the victim was involved in a long standing feud with a man from Hueytown.
The two were reportedly fighting a day before the shooting.
That man who Witherspoon was fighting with was identified as 29 year old Paudriciquez Montez Fuller of Hueytown.
On Friday June 7, 2013, sheriff’s detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Fuller with Capital Murder in relation to the death of Romaine Witherspoon.
At this time, Fuller remains at large.
