(WIAT) — A big decision was reached from the Girl Scouts in Birmingham.
For months, CBS42 has been following the possible closing of Girl Scout camps with in-depth reports.
On Wednesday, CBS42 has learned that the camps have been spared.
A crowd of scouts and scout leaders rallied on Wednesday morning outside the headquarters for the Girl Scouts of North Central Alabama.
They were fighting a three-phase property plan that would close four of six camps in the Birmingham area.
The GSNCA unanimously decided it will not sell any camp properties until a new plan can be put together.
