(WIAT) — Amazing athletes are showing off their skills and giving a lesson in fair play, perseverance, sportsmanship and respect.
The USA Men’s Wheelchair Basketball Team competed today in a scrimmage at the Lakeshore Foundation as part of the facility’s “Olympic Day” celebration.
More than 100 children from the Boys & Girls Clubs and the downtown YMCA Youth Center attended.
After the basketball game the kids got to hear from paralympians and gold-medal winners such as Picabo Street, Willie Smith and Jennifer Chandler.
