(WIAT) — The new Regions Field in downtown Birmingham has apparently become quite the hangout for people in the area.
So many fans have attended games at the new ballpark that the Barons lead the league in attendance.
The Barons have averaged about 5,963 fans per game.
That average is way ahead of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, currently in second place.
The Wahoos only draw about 4,502 fans per game.
