(WIAT) — A dog mix-up at a pet groomer in Florence has a happy ending.
When Tami Rudolph picked up her Maltese, named Bailey, she didn’t realize she had picked up the wrong dog.
She knew something was wrong the minute she got the dog to her home.
It was not house trained and acted standoffish towards the family.
She called the groomer, but they didn’t have a number for the owner of the other Maltese groomed that day, who happened to be out of town.
When that family came back home and heard about the mix-up, arrangements were made to get the dogs back in the right home.
The groomer is now putting new procedures in place to prevent such a mistake from happening again in the future.
