TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (WIAT) — Over the years, water has eroded and washed out the dirt along a storm drain in Trussville. This created a troublesome pothole.
The problem area is located on the corner of Chalkville Mountain Road and Service Road.
On Friday, the Trussville City Council declared the pothole an emergency situation.
The City Council did such as an action meant to expedite the process to get the hole fixed.
Construction is set to begin on Monday.
They are hoping for minimal traffic impact when construction begins, and the hole is expected to be fixed by the end of the week.
CBS42’s Al Ratcliffe will have more on the story on CBS42 News at 10.
