BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — On Friday, CBS42’s Chief Meteorologist Gene Norman held a camp at Aldridge Gardens in Birmingham to allow kids to get a hands-on view of weather.

The camp provided those who attended with an opportunity to learn how clouds form, how to build a weather safety kit and even gave them a chance to stand in front of the green screen to “do the weather” themselves.
