(WIAT) – Good nutrition can be a challenge for people who have no way to get to the grocery store. But now, a program brings locally grown food to them.
The East Lake Farmer’s Market food truck travels to four locations every Tuesday and Wednesday.
They sell locally grown fruits and vegetables, in an effort to encourage people to eat healthier. The food truck has been in operation for about a year.
Workers say its popularity is gaining momentum, especially with children.
You’ll find the East Lake Farmer’s market at Shepherd’s Center East Tuesday at 11:45.
then at 12-30 it’s at Faush Metropolitan Manor.
at 3-30 it’s at Harris Homes Community Center.
and on Wednesdays at 2-45 it’s at Millage Community Center.
