(WIAT) — Men now have a medical reason to sleep late on the weekends.

A new study shows that a person’s ability to clear sugar from the blood stream improved greatly after three nights of at least 10 hours of sleep.

The new finding is significant, according to doctors, because work schedules during the week often leave people sleep deprived and can lead to a higher risk of developing diabetes.
