(WIAT) — According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, an accident involving a vehicle and a train happened near the intersection of Shelby County Highway 51 and U.S. Highway 280 on Wednesday morning.
The accident happened at approximately 10:30 a.m.
Highway 51 was closed at the time of the crash, because it was impassable, but was later reopened.
The exact cause of the crash has not yet been determined and is still under investigation.
No injuries were sustained as a result of the crash.
People are urged to continue to exercise caution when traveling through the area.
