Alabama fifth most smoker-friendly state

(WIAT) — Despite no smoking signs and public smoking ordinances, Alabama is pretty welcoming of anyone looking to light up a smoke.

Bloomberg looked at the number of smoking adults, excise taxes and states with no smoking legislation.

Based on that criteria, Alabama ranks fifth in the nation for smoker-friendly states.

Kentucky is the top smoker-friendly state in the nation followed by West Virginia, Mississippi and South Carolina.
