Body found in Hoover identified as man suspected in homicide

(WIAT) — A body that was found in Hoover on Sunday is a man suspected in a Birmingham homicide.

On Saturday, a body was found on Cotton Avenue.

The victim was later identified as 26-year-old Jeremy Dwight Edwards of Fairfield.

Now long after his body was found, investigators suspected Rayah Easterling was involved.

Easterling’s body was later found behind a convenience store in Hoover on Lorna Road on Sunday.

Police say Easterling committed suicide.
