TALLADEGA, Ala. (WIAT) — Lincoln’s Honda plant is making plans to expand, and it will need more employees to fill that space.
On Monday evening, the Talladega County Commission approved tax abatements for the project, which is slated to cost just over $48 million.
Twenty people will be hired to produce engines as part of the company’s “Earth Dreams Technology.”
That program increases fuel efficiency and cuts down on emissions of V-6 engines.
Construction on the project is expected to be complete in 2014.
