(WIAT) — Sesame Workshop, the company that runs Sesame Street, has made some serious cutbacks.
Thirty employees of Sesame Street’s parent company received pink slips recently.
According to Sesame Workshop, that number represents 10 percent of the company’s workforce.
Performers are not among those who were let go.
In the most recent fiscal year, the non-profit organization saw its operating loss more than double to $24 million.
