TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — A popular fixture on the University of Alabama campus is set to be torn down over the next few days.
The Corner Store, which has been on the corner of Bryant Drive and 8th Avenue for the past 70 years, was a popular stop for fans on the way to Crimson Tide football games, as well as for students to pick up snacks and assorted groceries.
The land is owned by the University of Alabama, and landscaping will be installed after the entire demolition project is completed over the weekend.
