Police say as the mother of the two teens, Latosha Berry, pulled into the driveway, she noticed the men and tried to flee but they began firing shots at her vehicle causing her to crash in a neighbor’s yard.

The suspects shot the teens before leaving the home.

Family and friends gathered outside of the home for a balloon release on June 30th.

“It’s amazing that they came into the world together and God has taken them out of the world together,” said their aunt Alicia Thomas.

Jonathan was an aspiring barber. Thomas says he taught himself how to cut hair. While Jeremi, enjoyed working on cars.

“I promised them that I would be at their graduation. I promised them that I would be on the front row waiting for them because they’ve been struggling but they did it. They were going to be there,” she said.

The family says they are relying on their faith and the prayers of others to get them through this difficult time.

Latosha Berry remains in the hospital. Family members are working to set up a fund in Jonathan and Jeremi’s name to help with burial expenses.
