(WIAT) — The city of Good Hope, located in Cullman County, is preparing to break ground for a major construction project.
Councilman Jerry Bartlett says construction is expected to begin on the WilcoHess Travel Center in the next week.
He says the travel center will create 60 full-time jobs and 40 part-time jobs.
The site is located off of I-65 on 15 acres of the former Holiday Inn site, across the street from Hardees.
Construction is expected to take about eight months.
