This is the first year Old York Farms in Oakman has held a blues and barbecue festival.

The family-friendly event is centered around Old York’s western-themed buildings and saloons.

They also have a well-known juke joint lineup as well.

Gip Gipson will be playing at the event.

Organizers say a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Oakman Community Ball Park.

Gates open at 2 p.m. and admission is $10.

Kids under 13 years of age get into the event for free.
