BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Chrysler is recalling almost half a million vehicles.
The recall was issued because of a problem with head restraints that were originally meant to prevent neck injuries.
Chrysler says micro-controllers in the head restraints could have a problem preventing the system from operation properly.
The recall includes some Chrysler Sebring 200s, Dodge Avengers, Jeep Liberty SUVs and Dodge Nitro SUVs.
Chrysler plans to notify owners of the impacted vehicles.
