CURRY, Ala. (WIAT) — Federal law enforcement officials are hoping for a lead in identifying a bank robbery suspect in Walker County.
The Traders and Farmers Bank in Curry was robbed on Friday afternoon. The robbery occurred just as things in the county were getting back to normal following a bomb threat scare at Walker Baptist Medical Center and some bridges Highway 69.
The FBI and Walker County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
Authorities say just before 3:30 p.m., a man walking and pointed a weapon at one of the employees.
He demanded the keys to the vault and took an undetermined amount of cash.
Luckily, no one was hurt.
Law enforcement officials are hoping someone can identify his vehicle.
