MOBILE, Ala. (WIAT) — The Alabama Cruise Terminal has definitely seen some action over the past several months, and it hasn’t stopped!
The Carnival cruise ship Conquest was forced to dock in Mobile instead of New Orleans over the weekend because a tugboat sank in the Mississippi River.
The ship was not able to get through, so it had to go to Mobile. Passengers were bused Monday from New Orleans to Mobile so they could make their cruise to the Bahamas.
They, and passengers on a cruise scheduled for next week will be reimbursed for one day lost.
