BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Construction on Interstate 20 will tie up traffic for the next three months.
The westbound lanes of I-20, from the I-459 interchange to Exit 130, are closed while crews repave the six-mile stretch.
Detours signs are already posted.
This construction is the third phase of the I-20 repaving project.
The eastbound lanes reopened last month after being closed since April.
The entire project should be complete by the winter.
