SEATTLE, Wash.– A heavy reliance on technology may be linked to short-term memory loss. That’s according to a South Korean study.
Researchers believe an overuse of smart phones and gaming devices are hampering the balanced development of the brain in teenagers.
Scientists are calling it “Digital Dementia.” Some are skeptical about the findings while others believe the study makes sense.
Researchers add that relying on devices to remember things like phone numbers prevents exercising both sides of the brain.
