Center Point Elementary School expected to be complete in December

CENTER POINT, Ala. (WIAT) — It has been more than one year since an EF-3 tornado destroyed Center Point Elementary School, but the students will soon be back in their school building.

The $5 million repair is expected to be finished by December 1st, 2013.

The new construction will also have additional safety features, including storm doors.

About 700 students will fit in the renovated building.
