BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Many parents send their children to camp during the summer.
However, it’s not every day adults can join in on the fun.
The Lakeshore Foundation is hosting Operation Down Home. The camp began on Thursday.
It’s designed specifically for injured service members.
Ten injured military personnel and their families participated in cycling, rock climbing and other activities.
The camps at the Lakeshore Foundation run through Saturday.
