Police searching for suspect in Hoover bank robbery

(WIAT) — An unknown black male, described as a man with a medium build and around 6 feet tall, robbed a Regions Bank in Hoover on Thursday.

According to the Hoover Police Department, the robbery happened at approximately 9:21 a.m. on Thursday.

The man walked into the Region Bank located on 102 Inverness Plaza and robbed the bank of an undetermined amount of money.

He is said to be a black male. At the time of the robbery, the suspect was wearing a black and gray warm-up suit, a black toboggan, sunglasses and black and white tennis shoes.

He fled on foot towards Highway 280.
