TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — In June, a two-person team from Wings of Grace traveled to Moore, Oklahoma to meet with city officials and volunteers about Moore’s tornado recovery.
Wings of Grace has become a model for long-term disaster relief.
Representatives from the center were asked to come to Moore to help train people and offer ideas based on what they learned in Tuscaloosa.
The group plans to return to Moore in the near future to help establish a Wings of Grace-type of center.
