Auburn signee Earnest Robinson fails to qualify

Auburn, AL (WIAT)-Former Pinson Valley star Earnest Robinson who signed with Auburn in February failed to qualify academically.

According to head coach Matt Glover, he will enroll at East Mississippi State Community College for two seasons and then pursue his football career at the Division I level.

Robinson is now the second Auburn commit of the Class of 2013 to become ineligible due to academics.  Former McGill-Toolen quarterback Jason Smith was the other.
This comes as a big loss for Auburn based on Robinson’s high school career.
Considered one of the best receivers in the state, he had 106 catches for 1,976 yards and 33 touchdowns at Pinson Valley.
The good news is 22 of Auburn’s 24 signee’s have already enrolled and will take part in fall camp.
