RUSSELLVILLE, Ala. (AP) — A former northwest Alabama police officer pleaded guilty to making sexual advances toward female prisoners.
The TimesDaily of Florence reports former Russellville police Sgt. Shane Hall pleaded guilty to three misdemeanor charges of third-degree assault.
A judge suspended a jail sentence, and the 34-year-old Hall will spend two years on supervised probation.
Authorities say Hall was indicted on seven counts of custodial sexual misconduct in October 2011.
