BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT)– When violence breaks out in Birmingham, a passionate few come together in a declaration to “Stop the Violence.” This afternoon, a community on the city’s West Side, denied the group entry. They’re touring high crime areas in the city to make their voices heard. They hope to get those with guns to lay down their arms. Even though they were not allowed inside the housing project, they made their voices heard from outside of the gates.
