BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Some construction students had the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and get out of the office on Monday.
A group of interns from Brasfield & Gorrie headed to Tarpley City Park to take on a handful of renovation projects.
They helped resurface a basketball court, put down some mulch on the playground and did several painting projects around the park.
The company says it was a rewarding opportunity.
“It’s very important to give back to our community,” Brad Tew said. “We all work and live around the area, so it’s always awesome to come back and have the opportunity on days like this to come back and help out.”
Brasfield & Gorrie says it was also a chance for the interns to bond.
