UPDATE: Birmingham man found in vehicle suffering from gunshot wound dies; 19-year-old suspect in police custody

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT)-Birmingham police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Saturday morning around 12:30am in Ensley.

Police responded to 1721 26th Ensley for calls of a person shot. They found 38-year-old Nathaniel Taylor in a vehicle unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue also responded to the location and transported Taylor to UAB Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police have taken a 19-year-old Justin Quinn into custody. He is being charged with capital murder, with no bond. He is currently at the Birmingham City Jail awaiting transfer to the Jefferson County Jail.
