BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The rain isn’t stopping one golfer from teeing off for a good cause.
Luke Bielawski is hitting golf balls across America to raise money for underprivileged high school students.
The 24-year-old law school student stopped by Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School in Ensley on Tuesday.
He’s on a campaign to raise $100,000 for scholarships for students at Providence Cristo Rey High School in Indianapolis.
“It’s probably the most unique summer I’ve ever had or probably will ever have,” he explained. “It’s been not only very fulfilling for us to be able to fundraise and raise awareness for a great cause. You know, the Cristo Rey School and our school in Indianapolis. It’s also been an adventure of a lifetime.”
Luke’s fundraising campaign is called Get On the Green. More information can be found by clicking here.
