Update: Arrest made in Tuscaloosa case for missing man


TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) – Update: Tuscaloosa homicide detectives have charged 35-year-old Alexius Foster with attempted murder in connection with the missing persons case of 30-year old Antonio Williams.

Foster is in police custody in Mississippi tonight after he was picked up during a traffic stop in Union County, Mississippi.

Foster will be held on one million dollars bond following extradition to Alabama.

Original: Police in Tuscaloosa are asking for the public’s help locating a missing person.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department is currently looking for 30-year-old Antonio Leshawn Williams.

Williams, a black male who stands around 6 feet 3 inches tall, was last seen on July 17,2013, around 11:00 p.m.

He was last seen wearing green Nike shorts, blue Nike shoes and a white t-shirt.

According to a release by the Tuscaloosa Police Department, Williams was last seen driving a gray 1995 Ford Crown Victoria with a large dent on the driver’s side door. The car may have an Alabama dealer’s tag of D33304.

Police say Williams has no known medical problems that would warrant any concern.
