Gardendale, AL (WIAT)-McAdory is coming off of a record setting year with 14 wins and the programs first trip to the Super Six.

Unfortunately their dreams of a perfect season fell short in the state title game leaving the Yellow Jackets hungry to get back out on the field.

“Ever since the loss we know where we need to go,” said McAdory quarterback Kyran Moore. “We went there so we know how to get there, just work a little harder to finish.”

David Powell enters his 20th season as head coach of the Yellow Jackets and is hopeful his team can make another run at a state title.

“Each week the pressure is there to perform and it’s a razor thin margin and if you don’t really come and play your best then there is a real good chance you are going to lose,” said Powell.  “Let’s try to develop a winning spirit and try to catch a few breaks and just let the season unfold.”

McAdory defensive end Cory Thomas is anxious to see how his future unfolds.  The senior planned to announce where he will play college football on his birthday, August 2, but has decided he wants to give it some more thought.  Mississippi State though is currently the front runner.
