(WIAT) – We’re learning more about the quick capture and arrest of the two men, wanted in the killing of a Cullman County woman over the weekend.
Terry Mikel and Charles Burks are charged with murder for the shooting death of Angela Mikel this past Saturday.
Sheriff Mike Rainey says suspects Mikel and Burks shot Angela in her vehicle and then parked her car behind a mobile home off of County Road 38.
Rainey says they dumped their truck off a ravine, before walking on County Road 520 when someone they knew spotted them and called 9-1-1.
Five hours after Angela Mikel’s body was discovered, both men were in jail.
Angela Mikel’s relatives, say she was separated from Terry Mikel because of domestic violence problems.
She had also filed for a “protection from abuse order,” against him last week.
