BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT-TV) – For most of Tuesday Shelby and Jefferson counties were under a code orange Air Quality Alert. It was for high levels of ground level ozone. That is unhealthy for those who are sensitive especially children and asthmatics. The alert has been lifted.
