BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — After four years of legal battles, Trinity Medical Center has been given the green light to move forward with its plan to move to Highway 280.
It won’t be known as Trinity Medical Center anymore, though.
The site is now called Grandview Medical Center.
The building has been sitting idle and unfinished for a number of years.
Now, there is a lot of work to be done inside the facility.
Work is expected to take 18 to 24 months.
Once it opens, the medical center will feature 372 beds on 12 floors.
