BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — An apartment fire that broke out on Sunday at the Chateau Glen Oaks apartments is under investigation.
Investigators returned to the scene on Monday.
Meanwhile, the Red Cross is helping those who lost their homes in the fire.
They’re providing food, clothes, shelter and emotional support.
Twelve families were displaced in the fire at the apartment complex.
The fire was so large that crews from Midfield and Birmingham were called in to help.
People who live at the apartments claim firefighters didn’t act fast enough.
The fire chief tells CBS42 he’s still investigating their claims.
