TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — The Crimson Tide started their first of a series of two-a-day practices Wednesday. They’re getting ready for the first scrimmage Saturday.
Alabama started the first part of practice in full pads at 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning. The team finished part two in shells Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.
The defense is trying to fill holes left by last year’s graduating class. Defensive lineman Jeoffery Pagan is looking to be one of those guys coaches can lean on to lead the guys in the trenches.
“Its all about pacing ourselves, recovering. Today we had a good practice, it was physical so this afternoon we will try and focus more towards the passing and speed aspect of it,” said Pagan.
The Tide will only practice once Thursday afternoon.
