TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — The Crimson Tide practiced just once on Thursday. The team returns the two-a-day practice on Friday with the first scrimmage coming on Saturday.
There have been no injuries on the field thus far. The only thing worth noting is DL Dakota Ball. He underwent a successful appendectomy this week. Ball will miss some time during fall camp, but he will be ready to go for the season.
Head coach Nick Saban addressed the heat the team experienced today and this week. Saban believes these are the “dog days of summer” and he wants to see how this year’s team performs under difficult circumstances.
“This is an opportunity for us to overcome adversity, stay focus and create that kind of mental toughness and ability to sustain performance that can be helpful for us playing during the season,” said Saban.
