AUBURN,AL.(WIAT)- The Auburn Tigers held their annual fan day at Auburn Arena this afternoon. Hundreds of the Auburn family showed up to get autographs with Gus Malzahn and the other top Tiger Players. The most famous autographed item at fan day was said to be the team post. Below is the Auburn press release on fan day as well as the practice report from the Tigers:
The Auburn Tigers practiced two hours Sunday afternoon at the Auburn Athletics Complex practice fields, before heading to Fan Day activities at the Auburn Arena.
“We’re still in a learning process,” said defensive coordinator Ellis Johnson after practice. “We’ve given them so much to learn that they’re struggling a little bit. We look at the film from yesterday and we’re making so many mistakes.
“The effort was good and the tackling was better. In the big picture, everything improved. Overall, we’ve still got a long way to go.”
The Tigers return to the practice field Monday afternoon. Auburn’s season opener is Saturday, August 31, at Jordan-Hare Stadium versus Washington State in a 6 p.m. Central kickoff.
