AUBURN, Ala. (WIAT) — Head coach Gus Malzahn said Monday that former starting quarterback Kiehl Frazier is permanently moving to the defensive side of the ball to play the safety position.
Before Frazier dropped out of the quarterback race, there were four players looking to win the starting quarterback position.
Malzahn wants to narrow the race this week by giving more snaps to Jeremy Wallace and Nick Johnson.
Frazier actually practiced with the Safety position group on Monday.
He is already has some experience at the position, but not at the college level. Frazier has highlights of playing the safety position in high school. Here’s the press conference after practice on Monday night with Gus Malzahn and new safety Kiehl Frazier.
