BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Members of the Birmingham Board of Education project it will take more than $260 million to run its schools in the coming year.
More than half of the necessary money will come from state funds.
The public is invited to attend two scheduled meetings to weigh in on the budget next week.
The two meetings will be held Aug. 20 at Huffman High School and Aug. 22 at Jackson-Olin High School.
Both meetings begin at 5:30 p.m.
